This weekend has gone so quick. I don't know where the time has gone. So since I posted my shopping post on Friday, I have been working loads at work. I'm just really glad that im now starting to finally feel like I am fitting in with the team and I love being around with all of them they are like my work family. I'm currently working as a Bar Tender in a wine bar in Lichfield, which isn't that far for me to get to. It's only about a 20 minute drive to get there from where I live. I think I started working there back in October last year when I got laid of my last job (that was ridiculous what they did).
My last job I was a waitress in a restaurant/ pub down the road from me. It was nice there and I did enjoy it at times, but the Job just wasn't for me in the end. When I started there I loved it as every shift helped me to become more confident in talking to others everyday. The shifts weren't that bad, normally a night shift would be from 6pm till 10pm or around 11pm finish. Those times weren't that bad and I started to get used to the later nights. Sunday shifts were different, they would start at 11am and end around 5pm (that was only when we finished sorting out all the tips into every ones tins).
I think that's one thing that I miss, just getting that extra amount of money from the customers. (Some times it would even be a lot more than my actual wages that was only on a good week though). I don't miss that job as I'm really happy that I don't have to go back there. Just before I finally left, the boss and the other staff members were extremely horrible to myself and others. the problem was they were just always getting away with it and I think that's wrong!
I have finally found a job now that I am happy with and everyone is always willing to help even if I'm only asking them something small. So I work in a place called Apres in Lichfield. I've always wanted to learn bar work and when this job came around I was so glad that they asked. I didn't find the job on the internet I just walked around handing my CV out for a few nights and this place really caught my eye. When I first walked in I noticed that all the staff were approachable and friendly. This is what I like about working here, the fact that no matter what everyone is always there to help and if you ever just want a chat.
I hope you have loved reading this posted, I've loved telling you about it xxx
