'GirlOnline' Book Review

Part One

So the other week I decided to go and buy 'Girl Online'. If you don't know this book I'll tell you a bit about it.

This book was written by one of my favourite YouTubers Zoe Sugg aka Zoella. I found out about this book from the videos Zoella made a while ago. I normally don't read books but I thought I might try this one. So from now on I'm going to keep you all updated on where I am in the story and what I think about it.

The first few pages I have found interesting. This type of story isn't my normal genre to read. I am normally interested in the more fantasy/ crime/ romance novels, so this maybe this might just be my type of book or not! (I suppose we will have to find out!)

Penny is the name of the main character. At the start you read one of Penny's blogs and you really get to know who her blog may be aimed at. It's nice to see how an image of this character is really shown just in the start of the novel.

I found that the book didn't start of by having a huge description of all the characters nor did the character go on and on about her life. I like how it just sort of fell into the story as if you just started talking to Penny and you didn't even know her.

So far I have found out that she has a few interesting friends, a cool looking drama teacher and they are working on a drama performance. I was never into the drama work when I was at school and I think Penny may be the same. She mentions when she is on the stage about feeling nervous when she was up there, for some people that's exactly what it can be like. I like though how Zoella has really started to reflect Penny as just being a normal girl with everyday problems that most girls her age have these days. She really just tells it how it is, the truth! Like, how you feel when you see your crush or even when you may not feel that you belong somewhere but you still have to be there! Everyone goes though different things but Penny seems to just be like a normal teenager.

Even though I have only read a few pages I'll let you know what happens next and what I thought about it.
Let me know if you can if you think this review is a good idea as I am hoping to really get into this book and share my thoughts with you all.

AVON

I can't believe this. Hey everyone, just want to write a quick post today. I went to work the other day and one of the girls is an Avon representative! Me and my mom have been trying to find someone who does it for ages. Arghhh I'm so excited cause we really love Avon but we haven't been able to get anything for a long time. I know that we could have gone online but it is a lot nicer looking in the book. As soon as the order comes I am going to share what we both got and how much each item was (it's so cheap). My mom used to always get Avon products until the representative she used decided to just leave 😢 I don't think that she has really gotten any really good makeup since then so I think when I brought the book home she was really happy happy just to get her old makeup back. A Letter To My Younger Self

Dear Me (aged 13), You will soon feel like you just want to give up, but it gets better trust me. There will be times that you will feel like you want to completly give up on life, but you don't need to because there is light at the other end. All you need todo is hold you head up high and say to yourself "I CAN DO THIS NO MATTER WHAT" You might not know this right now, but you are stronger than you think. You have more will power than anyone else around you, don't forget that. The girls that are with you right now, they aren't your friends. You need to understand that they may try to hurt you emotionally nearly everyday during you time at school and when you go home you will feel helpless, but you are so much more stronger than you think. As hard as it sounds take in what they are saying to you. You won't think that it is the best thing todo at the time and it will be hard, but all that pain and sadness will help you with everything else later on. I
